Johnny Mac's Pizzeria & Deli

My fiance and I are out here in NY for a business trip, we stopped at your little pizzeria and my goodness! You blew it out of the water. DELICIOUS! whenever we come back up to NY we will be stopping here again!

Very crusty powerful crunch at the first bit. Lite dough with amazing crispy crunchy crust. It's a good slice of pizza and the sauce is there maybe just the toppings over power the taste of the tomato sauce. The topping of sausage, pepperoni and mushroom was a good choice for first time here. Either mushroom or plan cheese are my go to. Vibe of Coca Cola by the color red.

Johnnie Mac’s Pizzeria and Deli, located on 894 State Fair Boulevard in Syracuse, New York, is a small, unassuming restaurant specializing in pizza, subs, wings, pasta, and other dishes. We arrived minutes before 4 p.m. on a Saturday. The restaurant was empty, so we had our choice of the four or five tables that were available. We ordered and paid for our large, 16” pepperoni and cheese Sicilian pizza at the counter, grabbed our soft drinks from the nearby cooler, and sat down. About 15 minutes later, our order was brought to us. The pizza was delicious. The dough was soft with a firm crust. The amount of pepperoni and onions was perfect: not too little and not too much. Although I wanted more, there was just not enough room in my stomach, so we decided to just put the two or three remaining slices in a box and left. Since we visit the nearby state fairgrounds once or twice a year, I will look forward to returning to Johnnie Mac’s, perhaps for one of their specialty chicken pizzas or perhaps their calzone. Although I didn’t see anybody come in during our visit, I’m sure Johnnie Mac’s offers takeouts. One can also order online. The place is clean and inviting, and the staff members are extremely polite and courteous. There is also plenty of room for parking. If, like us, you’re visiting the state fairgrounds for an event, take the time to travel the two miles to Johnnie Mac’s. You’ll be happy you did.

The pizza was absolutely phenomenal. There is no way to fake the quality of a crust.That's baked on a baker's pride.Stone bake oven. That crisp is impossible to get on some conveyor belt piece of s*** system. The staff was friendly. The place isn't much to look at. It's easy to tell that it's a normal carry out place. But I wasn't there for the lighting in the tables. I was there for a crispy. Crust, foldable, perfectly baked new york style pizza, and that's what I got. Keep up the good work boys, so I'm back through this area. I'll stop by again and get two. If I had one comment, add garlic knots to the menu. The dough that you make the crust with would make a perfect garlic knot. And I would love to be able to dip them in that sauce.

I thought i have had good pizza before, then, I had Johnny Macs! Oh my, oh my do they have AMAZING PIE! By far the best pizza in NYS (I've tried hundreds of shops) and Johnny Macs is #1! If YOU have yet to try, I strongly suggest you do!

Very friendly staff. (even those that didn't work with me directly were nice to me) The dough is definitely in the top 5 of all time. I took an older slice (mushroom) and a newer slice (pepperoni) for comparison and the dough held up! Personally, I like a little more spice to my sauce but still well worth it!

Best Pizza in the area, we stopped ordering Dominos, the staff is very friendly and once again the Pizza is amazing!

It's the BEST PIZZA IN SYRACUSE. Brings memories of Francis pizza but better. Sorry Francos. Great staff and Johnny is an AWESOME GUY WITH GREAT EMPLOYEES AND BUSINESS! TRUST ME .. BEST PIZZA IN SYRACUSE NY W/ STYLE
